The recent show celebrated its seventh edition of the instalment, which will be followed by the next one to be hosted at a secret location in Mbombela.  The show is hosted by Bonginkosi Zulu, popularly known as ‘Thebigzill’. The current Three Nations Party was hosted live on air at Rise FM, where the three local DJ’s were playing. The host revealed what inspired the Three Nations Party show, “We created the event during lockdown where 250 people were allowed to gather and have fun. People attended, we were creating an intimate experience, and started getting international guests as well,” shared Thebigzill.

Idea

He went on to say that the idea is to allow people to feast together and have fun, while also exposing artists from across the world. “Rise FM gave us the go ahead for this show, but it’s all about creative swhich inspired the show. We always wanted to bring together some of the best talents from the different nations, and see what could happen if we come together” Zulu said. He went on to emphasise that the nation’s party had never been done before, as the show was a fresh idea of radio stations. “This has never been done before where radio can actually bring together these diverse talents and thereby bring the nations together. It’s a social cohesion which I think if we do it right we bring our best to the table, like an envisioning. We will be able to take the radio show to clubs amongst selected nations. I’m quite excited about it, we started on Sunday and we are really excited by the talent that comes from Eswatini, and we are looking forward to have more acts from Eswatini” Zulu said.

Allows

The show allows artists and DJ’s from across the world to have an opportunity to visit specific countries and deliver good vibes through Rise FM. Local DJ Mistosoul played a Soulful House set during the show, which lasted for an hour, same as DJ Wicked and Master P. When reached for comment about having been featured on the show, he expressed great joy and excitement for being invited to Rise FM. “I was very happy and excited to be a part of this amazing concept. SA has a huge radio following and playing for those numbers felt really great. I’m looking forward to receive a positive reception from Rise FM listeners. “I am positive that they liked my set because I came prepared for the show and made sure that “I deliver. It was a good experience which is also good for my brand, playing a set on the radio station marketed me positively as a DJ from Eswatini. I really enjoyed myself,” Mistosoul said.

Master P also expressed his joy for being given the opportunity to play at Rise FM. “I was really excited to be part of the show. “I don’t wish to just market only the Master P brand, but I want it to benefit other artists from Eswatini. I would like to appeal to our local artists to submit their work so I can play it on this platform which is of good use. This is a great opportunity for local artist’s music to be heard in different countries, so I want to make that possible through playing their music as much as I can on this platform” Master P said. Going forward listeners can expect fire sets every weekend, on Saturday and Sunday from 9pm till midnight. The station can be streamed via www.RISEfm.co.za.
