Mbabane - The Standard Bank Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival is back for its fourth edition.

The festival is a lavish two-day feast of music, fashion, entertainment, culinary exploits, and connoisseur-led premium wine and whiskey showcases. It will take place September 30 and October 1 this year, at House on Fire.Among the exciting acts announced this week are the King of Dance, Zakes Bantwini  from South Africa (SA), and Ami Faku also from SA, her wide range and uplifting music has mesmerised audiences since her debut on season two of The Voice SA. The initial artist announcement reflects the festival’s growing regional and international footprint, with artists such as Lura from Cape Verde, Radjha Ali from Mozambique, Shane Cooper & MABUTA from SA, as well as local Afro-Soul sensation, Msimisi.

When reached for comment about the announcement, of initial lineup Festival Director Jiggs Thorne said, “We are very excited with the release of part of the line-up, there’s more to come. People should follow the press for more updates about the rest of the lineup,’’ shared Thorne. Luju is a unique and sophisticated African-vintage styled celebration of the local, the wholesome, the creative, and the delicious, truly a sensory experience unlike any other. The festival’s ethos, ‘A Return to the African Future,’ pays homage to, and celebrates Africa’s beauty and style, from the past to the present and onwards to the future.

It’s a journey of the senses, a reimagining of our heritage, and a sneak preview of the design innovations of tomorrow. With festival taking place over two days this year, guests are invited to stay on-site in luxury Luju style with walk-in glamping tents (en suite hot showers included!) or camp with the ready erected tents, available for both Friday and Saturday nights. Glamping and camping tickets are now available alongside Luju Festival tickets on the newly revamped Standard Bank Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival website, www.lujufestival.com
