MBABANE - Stuff dreams are made off!

At this point, only the sky is the limit for Eswatini-born DJ Uncle Waffles. The now internationally acclaimed jockey is the first liSwati to be on MultiChoice South Africa Sound Factory. Uncle Waffles, born Lungelihle Zwane 22 years ago, is currently the only female in the chosen panel.
She was selected to be the fourth creative producer panelist for the sound factory. Other selected panellist includes Zues Amapiano princess. MultiChoice South Africa developed the sound factory, as an initiative that aims to identify, empower, and support young music creatives by exposing them to opportunities and people who will be pivotal in their careers.

Supported by the MultiChoice Talent Factory South Africa (MTFza) and Channel O, the sound factory will play a key role in uplifting the youth in a way that will create jobs and contribute to the economy. This will be done by developing a panel of producers whose work will be used for campaigns and brand projects by MultiChoice and its various business units.

Producers

These producers will be commissioned for projects such as developing jingles and the production of new music which will be paid for through commissioning and licensing fees. Successful candidates will get the opportunity to work with successful musicians such as Uncle Waffles, Zeus Omega, Sthembiso, Chimurenga Mamphaga and Kai Inthe Kut, among others.  These prolific musicians form part of the current panel whose work will be used for MultiChoice campaigns; they will also help identify new talent for the programme.

When confirming the news on their social media page, Instagram, MultiChoice said they were proud to have selected Uncle Waffles. “Eswatini stand up, we have Princess of Amapiano joining us as our fourth creative producer panel for the sound factory team.Uncle Waffles has quickly become one of the most popular DJs in South Africa and we are excited to have her join the Sound Factory,” said MultiChoice group. A clearly happy Waffles welcomed the news and expressed that she was happy to be part of the group.“Please show some love,” she said. This was followed by a string of congratulatory messages from Uncle Waffles’ fans and followers on her social media page.
