MBABANE - Durban ‘comes’ to Eswatini!

Durban Tourism is bringing their vibe Eswatini for the 2022 MTN BUSHFIRE Festival this coming weekend. Eswatini-born Durban Coordinator Sakhile Mabuza confirmed that it’s going to be a Durban explosion in the Kingdom of Eswatini and the weekend will be packed with activities planned to give the people of Eswatini and the world at large a feel of Durban since the MTN BUSHFIRE Festival is an international event.

First on the agenda is a convoy that will be led by 20 bikers, from the Bikers Association of Eswatini. The bikers will tour Mbabane and Manzini from Friday until Sunday. The convoy will also consist a Ricksha bus which would be a first in the country. Ricksha is an open bus usually used for touring. The special bus will transport staff members from Durban Tourism, media houses from both Eswatini and South Africa and invited guests. The Ricksha bus will also be commuting people from their accommodation places to the event and back.

Experience

The bus will create an experience on its own seeing that Eswatini doesn’t have this kind of bus, which will provide a great touring feel for the people coming into the country and exploring what Eswatini has to offer. This is also a great opportunity for Eswatini to showcase itself to tourists. The bus will have a surprise Durban experience inside to look forward to. Durban tourism will also bring into the country rickshaw carriages to solidify the whole Durban experience. These carriages will also provide rides for people who will attend the event to and from different points at the arena. Mabuza will coordinate the arrival to the setting up of the group. They will be bringing in promoters, DJs and influencers from both the country and South Africa. One of the DJs set to be part of the feel that Durban Tourism is bringing will be Thabo Mnisi also known as ‘Touch of Soul’. Inside the actual arena the Durban Tourism will have a stand that will consist a stage, where music lovers will enjoy music by DJ Touch of Soul.

The stand will also have a photo booth and Shaun Desousa who is one of the top photographers in the country will do the honours. The MC for the Durban stage is Ndosh. The stand will also have cocktail tables, where guests will be served inhouse cocktails. Mabuza also explained that there will be giveaways that fun lovers and guests at the event can look forward to that will be given out to people who will visit their stand. Children will also have fun at the Durban Tourism stand, which will also provide different games for the little ones.
