LAZWIDE DEDICATED PERFORMANCE TO ‘GAWUZELA’

MBABANE – “I gave it my all on stage in honor of my husband,” said LaZwide.

La-Zwide dedicated her performance to her wanted husband, Siphofaneni Member of Parliament (MP) Mduduzi ‘Gawuzela’ Simelane. This was right after she performed with Izinceku Zamagawugawu gospel group at the MTN iPraise Digital Festival which was held on Sunday at the Destiny Music Warehouse in Matsapha. In an interview with this reporter, the gospel star, who was leading the gospel ensemble in song, was quite elated as she thanked everyone including their fans and MTN iPraise digital festival team for making it possible for them to sing or rather perform which she said was like a revival to them as they worshipped.

“I was so blessed to be afforded the opportunity to sing today while my husband is not around. I felt as if he was with us in spirit when performing on stage. It was not about me on stage but all my efforts during our performance were dedicated to my husband,” she said. She went on to add that although it was painful, Simelane taught them well enough for them to perform and give it their all on stage. It is worth noting that it was not only Simelane’s wife that performed but also his son and daughter and the rest of the group members.
