MBABANE – Living her dreams.  Eswatini-born and South Africa- based actress, Amanda Du Pont continues to make headlines positively internationally as she recently graced the cover of House & Garden magazine issue for December/January 2021 with her husband, Shawn Rodriques.

Du Pont recently married her long-time boyfriend, Shawn Rodriques and the two are living it up in their luscious Johannesburg home. 

The two spend their time travelling the world together and this inspired the decoration of their lovely house. 

Du Pont took to Instagram to share pictures of her beautiful space. She shared the details of what inspired the choice of decor. 

In a recent interview with House & Garden magazine, the actress gave readers some home decor inspiration after a great tour of her home in Johannesburg.

Not only is the lighting of the house designed to create a particular mood, but the house also includes some of her cherry trees in one of the rooms made of custom silk petals and real tree trunks. 

The Skeem Sam actress broke the internet in June 2018 when she spoiled herself by buying a E3 million brand new McLaren 570S and a month later in the same year she got engaged to her husband Rodrieques in Maldives. 

One year later, she received a new set of wheels which is the latest Rolls Royce model.

Recently she became the brand ambassador for Land Rover Sandton. 

The star got a new Range Rover sport from the deal and expressed how blessed she felt on social media. 

The issue is out of stock at Pick n Pay, SuperSpar outlets as well as Shoprite and Galp Filling stations.

There were only two copies left at Engen Filling Station at the time of going to print. 

The Actress who  stars in Netflix’s Shadow, together with husband Shawn Rodriques showcased their home in their cover feature for the South Africa magazine, which they say was inspired by their travels.

Du Pont also shared that she and her husband were the cover stars of the latest edition of House & Garden with her Instagram followers. 

The Skeem Saam actress revealed that she had taken the publication through her house to showcase the interior that was inspired by their travels around the world.

The home has a minimalistic chic theme, with a floating staircase and a clear balustrade being notable features. 

The cabinets and counter tops all have earth colours and are enhanced by pops of green.

Du Pont told House & Garden Magazine that because of site location, building outward was not an option so their home had to design a three-stores building each easily accessed via two staircases that cascade down a triple-volume space.

The first floor accommodates an open plan living space, kitchen, and lounge and dining areas, where Amanda and Shawn spend most of their time.

Above that there are private living areas such as the master bedroom and an en suite as well as two additional bedrooms that have been converted into an office and ‘glam room’ space.

“We wanted a home that would fit to our lifestyle and schedules, a home that easy to live in and work in,” said Du Pont. 

She also disclosed that they wanted a home where they could host friends and family that is versatile enough for business meetings.

She also revealed that they found inspiration from everywhere. 

She went on to point out how they used to spend Friday nights on a couch, with glasses of wine, scrolling through Pinterest.
