MBABANE – “I have not been quiet as most of my fans say on the streets.”

These were the words shared by local rapper Ohtomn Sally, when he told this publication that he would be releasing a debut album.

This means that the artist will be releasing his first ever album since entering the music scene.

He said he had been in the studio all this time working hard to come up with good content for Eswatini music lover.

“I have noticed that the music industry needs a lot of our own kind of music, which should be dominated by our own language and so in this album I have done just that,” said the artist.

Ohtomn Sally shared that the album was inspired by different icons of the country, people of influence and impact such as renowned businessman Mxolisi ‘Waxola’ Mabuza, the late businessman Victor Gamedze, Moses Motsa as well as His Majesty King Mswati III to name a few.

“There are other people, whom I will not mention for now. The album is titled ‘Khetsa Lokuhle’ and I feel that this is a very powerful album filled with many inspirational songs,” mentioned the rapper.

He urged all the music lovers out there to prepare themselves for huge change when it comes to the sound of music in Eswatini.

“With this album I bet all music lovers in Eswatini will nod in agreement that this is what they have been yearning for,” he added.

The artist shared the challenges he faced as a young and upcoming artist especially with a big album on his hands, he lacked the capital distribute the album as well as to promote it.

“I would also like to shoot some music videos and I feel that the lack of funds to do this would hinder me from releasing the album on time,” he mentioned.

He further pleaded with those willing to help him in getting his music off the ground.

He also appealed to anyone, who had the resources and desire to manage an artist to contact him as this would be a good business opportunity.

He shared that as an independent artist anyone, who wished to help him was free to contact him on the following contact details 7656 2601/7866 1747, ohtomnsally@gmail.com or visit his Facebook page or Instagram handle @ohtomn sally.
