SIDVOKODVO - Fun at last!

Tums Water World Hotel on Saturday successfully hosted an event dubbed ‘Halloween volume three.’ The event was a family oriented party, with different games and thrilling local performances.  Revelers adhered to the theme and came with their different Halloween outfits.  The event started around 12 noon and people were sanitised at entry points.  The Master of Ceremonies, Nqabayoxolo Ginindza, kept the crowd entertained and constantly reminded the audience to keep their masks on and use sanitisers.

Macbeth from Kids parties and events said the games available were safe and allowed children to play without touching each other.  Different stalls were also available; they sold mouthwatering hot dogs, different clothing lines from the renowned Scientists and a brand called Ace.  A few of the stalls were from the Network of Business Women with Disabilities Eswatini. They sold different handcrafts.

In an interview with some of the stall owners from the Network of Business Women with Disabilities Eswatini, they expressed their excitement and thanked the owner of Tums Water World Hotel for allowing them be part of the event for free.  “We would like to thank Henry Du Pont for always inviting us to be part of his events for free. This was our first event in seven months. The COVID-19 pandemic has halted so many plans and we couldn’t sell our craft. The event was a business opportunity for us,” said Thembelihle Vilakati from the association.

Brenda Nhlengethwa who is also from the association attested to what Vilakati mentioned and shared that she was a mobile agent but she never had shelter.  She mentioned that Henry Du Pont gave her a free umbrella for her business.  “We are grateful and we would like to encourage other business people to support us,” she said. The day was filled with laughter and good vibes as people were showing their crazy Halloween outfits.  Children were dressed as ghosts and some were inspired by scary movies and cartoons.
