MBABANE – ‘We thank God for giving us the gift of life.’

These words were said by Mxolisi Mabuza, who is the owner of the well-known Xchange lounge and shisanyama in an interview with the Entertainment Desk yesterday.

He said they will be hosting their first anniversary event as the lounge and shisanyama was opened last year.

“We started operating in November 8, 2019. This has been a tough year; the current COVID-19 pandemic has affected us a lot, our expectations were not met. Life is more precious than profits earned,” he said.

The event will be a one of a kind as it will see the thrilling performances of renowned gospel musicians, the likes of Tankie Ndou from South Africa, Linda Dlamini and  Shongwe neKhuphuka to name a few.

The show will also have a touch of comedy as local rib crackers will also grace the show, the likes of Matewu, Smallz, S’lwane, Gogo and Gedlembane.

“We also want to highlight that the Xchange lounge and shisanyama is not a saloon, but it is a place where everyone can come to relax and refresh. Our event will be a family oriented hosted on a Sunday,” he added.

Mabuza went on to share that they were yet to confirm the number of people who will attend the show.

“We have applied to the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture and we are waiting for the right personnel to tell us how many people we can host,” he explained.

Tickets will be sold at E100 for children and E150 for adults.

More information about the show will soon be shared on this publication.
