MBABANE – The Sunday Hangout Experience came back for its second edition this past weekend.

Held at the posh Emfuleni Lifestyle, the event brought fun lovers together for conversations and fun. Prior to this, the event was hosted as a breaking dawn to the lockdown by the government to curb the spread of the coronavirus, which was put in effect seven months ago. Fun lovers could not hold their excitement of experiencing the great outdoors again. Lindelwa Dlamini shared that it was her first time going out to experience the groove since March and had been looking forward to having a nice time since then. “As the Twitter streets dictate, ungasincish’ i-nice time dawg,” she said. In essence, the statement translates to individuals not depriving themselves of having a great time in their lives.

The event saw the likes of renowned DJs, such as TAP, Fantacy, Cup as well as afro pop artist Judah Silitshena and RnB sensation Denzel and Nko.  Judah shared that it was his first time performing since the lockdown had been implemented and he was excited to be doing what he loved once again. Speaking to the event organiser Khulekani ‘Karly B’ Mamba, he expressed his gratitude at the turn out of the event as he revealed that by noon they already had to cut off ticket sales as they had reached the maximum limit of people, which was 100. Mamba also shared that they were working on the next date for another event, which they were going to announce before the week ends. When probed about the compliance of the event to COVID-19 regulations, Mamba shared that the establishment was one of the venues on the list shared by the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture.
