‘TOUCH OF SOUL FOUNDATION’ DONATES 100 SANITARY PADS

MBABANE – It takes one good act to heal a nation. This phrase holds true to one of the local renowned artist, Thabo Mnisi, popularly known as Touch of Soul.

The South Africa-based DJ has a foundation called ‘Touch of Soul foundation’, which has donated 100 sanitary pads to Helping hand foundation under their charity drive dubbed ‘# E20 plenty for a girl child’.
This was confirmed by Mnisi in an interview with the Entertainment Desk yesterday.

Mandate

He said they donated to the Helping Hand foundation because their aim of helping young girls aligned with their mandate of impacting people’s lives positively through charity work. “We were inspired by what they were doing, helping young girls which is in line with what our foundation stands for. We want to continue meeting the needs of the people,” he said.
Mnisi also shared that they will be also handing out clothing to the less privileged at Mpolonjeni.

In an interview with the founder of Helping Hand Foundation, Ncamiso Mahlalela, he expressed his gratitude and also pleaded with the nation to help them assist the girl child and women.
“We would like to firstly thank the Touch of Soul Foundation for their support. We are aware that the country is facing the COVID-19 pandemic but we are also aware that there are a lot of girls including women, who are in need of sanitary pads. Some end up in wrong places as they could not afford sanitary pads,” he said.

He went on to share their target which was 6 000 sanitary pads before December.
“With the charity drive dubbed ‘# E20 plenty for a girl child’ we are hoping to get 6 000 sanitary pads with the help of the nation. August is women’s month and we hope we will get 3 000. We are pleading with the nation to help us give away sanitary pads, they are a necessity,” he said.
