SMALLZ & CO. TO UNLEASH NEW TALENT

MBABANE - More local content to keep you entertained. This follows a high demand for Smallz The Comedian & Co.’s platform as it opened a few weeks back to aspiring entertainers and to the success of their online comedy show dubbed ‘An e-Evening of Thoroughly Sanitized Laughs & Socially Distant Rhymes’ last week Friday. 

The ever-enterprising comedy and digital content creators knows as The Merchants of Bottomless Laughter, also known as Smallz The Comedian & Co., have decided to convert this concept into a weekly online comedy show ,with the aim of creating opportunities for some of Eswatini’s most talented upcoming comics.

Their recent show held last Friday, saw the Pigg’s Peak-born wordsmiths, Poet Thabani and Bongiswa Masondo, captivating the audiences recording 2 000 views within an hour. Masondo delivered a hilarious set, which left  people sending  laughing emojis (emotion reactions provided by Facebook)
In an interview with one of the members of The Merchants of Bottomless Laughter, Lungelo Gina, he said their main purpose was to share and also elevated the comedy industry by providing a platform for other upcoming comedians. “A massive boon out of this is that this new model will give us even more depth in fulfilling our promise of sharing our stage with new talents from the kingdom.

“It will see us unleash some of Eswatini’s exciting yet under-exposed talents including the northern hhohho-born mega-talented comedian Mcola Maseko, one of Eswatini’s most important operatic voices, the multi-award winning tenor, Zweli Msibi and the much-loved duo of Darren and Bongiswa as often seen in their viral videos on their Facebook page ‘Ang’sati Ng’tsini’ among others,” he said.

It is worth noting that the shows are a collaboration between the collective and Eswatini’s most sought after media production house called Evolve Studios . They are slated to happen every Friday from July 17 to August 28, 2020 .

The show will be live-streamed on all the collective’s social media platforms, from 7pm and will see S’lwane and Smallz The Comedian co-host with Gogo, whose own star in the local entertainment circles is on a perma-rise.
