MBABANE - “The artist’s job is to be a witness to his time in history.”

This popular quote by Robert Rauschenberg has applied to the art pieces that Yebo Art Gallery has on offer. The art was supposed to be exhibited in May, however, that might not be the case. Yebo Art Gallery in Ezulwini and Yebo shop at Swazi Candles Centre, closed down yesterday due to the COVID-19 outbreak. This was confirmed by the gallery’s co-founder, Aleta Armstrong.

Safe

“We wish to keep our employees and artists safe in this difficult time and it is best that they remain safely at home with their families. We will reopen when it is safe to do so again. “We will continue to work online with our next exhibition. You are welcome to follow us on Facebook, Instagram and our website and support the creativity in Eswatini,” she said.
