MBABANE – Manzini North stand up!  One of the renowned models, Winile Mavuso, will be hosting a beauty pageant for young passionate girls from Manzini North.

The idea was inspired by the lifestyle young people are living and the economic state of the country that needs goal driven individuals, who will monetise their talent.
In an interview with the communications officer, who is also a model and one of the former finalists of Miss Eswatini, Nosipho ‘Titi’ Manyatsi, she expressed her excitement about the pageantry and encouraged young people to make use of the opportunity given.

“The purpose of this pageant is to motivate young girls. We want to show them that they can also add something positive and of value to the society,” she said.
It was revealed  that this pageant will have exciting prizes that include scholarships from Bradford and Oxford to name a few.
“With the support of the public, we hope to have more exciting prizes like beauty vouchers and other gifts that will help motivate young people,” Manyatsi said.
She also shared that they would only register people from Manzini North.  “We are looking for young passionate and goal driven girls between the ages of 18 to 24,” she said. She stated that registrations forms will be available at eNkundleni Fairview North at a fee of E80.

“We are also available on social media where we will be posting more about the pageant. We are looking forward to working with the beautiful girls from Manzini North,” said Manyatsi.
The closing date for submitions is February 22, 2020.
Meanwhile Manzini North Member of Parliament Macford Sibandze, who is one of the leaders supporting the pageantry, said he loved the idea which would motivate young people.

“The brains behind the pageantry presented the idea and I loved it because it will give young people a podium where they could be inspired and motivated,” he said.
Sibandze went on to emphasize the importance of prizing as he said he advised them to award prizes that would improve the contestants’ lives for the better.

“I believe in education, thus I will be helping them get sponsors. For me educational prizes are the best not forgetting beauty vouchers as they will be the ambassadors of Manzini North,” he said. It is worth noting that this will not be the first Regional pageantry as the Shiselweni region successfully hosted their pageant last year crowning their Mr and Miss Shiselweni.
