FARM TO TABLE MARKET DAY A SUCCESS

EZULWINI - ‘We want to help local entrepreneurs get the platform to showcase their products. ’

These words were said by Sydney, the founder of the programme called ‘Farm to Table’ during their market exhibition that was held at Mantenga.
There were six entrepreneurs showcasing their products.

The products were mostly organic. Revellers also came to buy and ask more about their products.
Some of them mentioned that they were thrilled to know what other local businesspeople were up.

One of the tables that had people talking was the Lost chef’s table as he had strawberry pop corn and beetroot ice-cream.
The renowned Africa rooted soulful musician who goes by the name of Thobile Makhonyane, was also present showing off her natural herbs which people were also eager to know about.

She shared with the publication that she had a passion for studying Juicing but then she learnt a lot about herbs in one of the institutions in South Africa, hence she decided to start her own hub of herbs.

Margaret, also known as Cookie, also had a table displaying her vegetables and fruits, she also shared that she started with only E50 in her father’s backyard two years ago. She went on to encourage other young people to start their own business.
Mexican Supreme was also present; they applauded the founder of Farm to Table for coming up with such a fruitful idea that will help people get the exposure or market for their business.

In an interview with the founder, she expressed her excitement about the whole turnout.
She went on to explain how she creates a market for local entrepreneurs.
“We have an online site where we give the public a platform to choose what they would love to purchase, in each box we have each product from the entrepreneurs,” she said.

She also shared that they were looking forward to having more market days.
“We hope next time it will be bigger and better,” she added.
