The six-day tour will also include performances at places such as the Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City in Johannesburg on November 28 and Communio Church in Nelspruit the following day.

Mabuza said they were still going to announce venues for December 1 and 2, where the choir would perform and also conduct auditions.
“We are very excited about this show, we had talked to the boys about performing in the country and we were surprised when the other artists showed interest to be part of the tour. We are looking forward to a great time as this will also border on tourism,” he said.

The Drakensberg Boys Choir has travelled around the world while showcasing their musical abilities. The school where the choir is from offers a unique education opportunity for boys and helps them realise their musical dreams. They are popular for hosting concerts on Wednesdays.

Mabuza added that they would be hosting other major shows in the country, including a gospel music festival where he said the proceeds would help organisations such as the VOC radio station and the ‘Makhelwane Simbona Ngetento’ programme.
