MANZINI – South African gospel artist Ayanda Ntanzi is not happy with treatment in Eswatini!

This follows a number of alleged disagreements that are said to have unfolded last Friday night during the Glory of the last days album launch in the country. The event was held at the Metropolitan Church where respected gospel artists attended in numbers to support the legendary gospel outfit. With colourful performances being unleashed on stage and music lovers dancing up a storm, it seemed the mood during the show was an excellent one. However, it appeared that among the joyful souls, South African artist, Ayanda Ntanzi, was regretting taking the trip to the country.

During an interview with this publication, the singer said he was treated unprofessionally by some of the organisers of the show and some gospel artists. He alleged that when he arrived in the country, he found out that there was no booking made for him at the hotel where he was told he would be accommodated before going to the venue. “I was surprised by this as I was made to believe that my hotel room had already been booked and I had to wait for over an hour at the hotel lobby until I decided to book using my own money,” he alleged.

Pleasant

He further alleged that his stay in the country was made less pleasant by the lack of representatives to assist him from his hotel room to the venue. The disappointed singer also alleged that he was scheduled to perform at midnight but that did not happen as a local artist climbed on stage and performed for close to two hours. “At around 3:30am I communicated with some of the organisers and informed them that I was no longer going to perform. I wanted to leave the venue. It was during this time where a local artist approached me and warned that if I leave without performing my musical career would be over,” he alleged.

However, the singer ended up performing during the show and he said it was because of his fans who had attended the show just to see him on stage. “I decided to stay and perform because of my fans. I was not happy with how I was treated. I was treated unfairly and made to believe that if did not perform in Eswatini, my entire career would be over.
