MISS INKHUNDLA 2019 CROWNED

TIMPHISINI – The winners of the Miss Inkhundla had more than just a crown on their heads to boast about.


They became proud winners of the Eswatini MTN MoMo business kit, as well as free range chickens, so that they will be able to generate income.
The contestants were announced after showing off some outfits which included casual, traditional and nightwear. There was no section for swimwear.
Each of the contestants also received a T-Shirt, and Good News Bible.


Sponsors of the pageant included Pick Yours (Buhleni), which donated E1 000, Dresses by Nyamane, Sibongile Tsabedze for the Decor.
Nombuso Dlamini of Ntfonjeni was crowned Miss Inkhundla Soil Seed Harvest Ministry (SSHM) during an event which was held at the Timphisini High School Hall on Saturday.


The beauty pageant was organised by SSHM and coordinated by the Miss Pigg’s Peak Beauty Pageant Directors Kwazile Masimula and Mathokoza Dlamini.
Reigning Miss Pigg’s Peak Nokukhanya Vilakati and Lindokuhle Mbatha were part of the judges panel alongside Masimula and Mathokoza.
Futsi Mavuso, the director of SSHM, said the prizes were donated by Eswatini MTN as well as members of various communities under the three Tinkhundla.
Nombuso, who is aged 23, walked away with an Eswatini MTN MoMo kit which she is expected to use to generate an income.


Studying


She said this was a blessing in disguise, because she had been studying accounting at Regent College but that she had not been able to continue due to financial constraints.


Nombuso said she hoped to return to college later, now that she would be able to generate an income.
Tandzile Mabuza who is doing Form IV at Mayiwane High School was crowned Miss Inkhundla 1st Princess and she said she also wants to pursue a career in accounting.


Mabuza, who is aged 21, said she joined the competition to send a message that girls should be proud of the way they look.


Crowned


Nonjabuliso Madonsela was crowned Miss Inkhundla 2nd Princess and she is a school leaver, but is planning to venture into nursing.
Madonsela said for her, joining the beauty pageant was all about promoting self confidence.
The contest involved three constituencies, namely Timphisini, Mayiwane and Ntfonjeni.


Musicians Nomfundo ‘Fufu’ Magongo, Bruno and Sibusiso entertained the audience that attended the event.
