FESTIVAL XPLOSION SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHED!

DWALENI – An inspiring one-day outdoor festival with pyrotechnics and live music was launched in spectacular style on Monday evening.

The newly-introduced event is known as Festival Xplosion and is set to delight audiences on July 27 at Dwaleni Farm Lodge. The brainchild behind this promising festival is none other than Msimisi Dlamini, son to the owners of Dwaleni Farm Lodge, Nathi Dlamini and his wife, Busi Dlamini.

The festival is being organised by Msimisi together with Dwaleni Farm Lodge, and Eswatini Mobile was unveiled as the title sponsor for the event. This was during a posh launch held at the host venue where a stunningly opulent red-and-white with a hint of gold décor fascinated the invited guests. The enthralling décor was designed by Creative Direction Manager Isabella Gilbert and her assistant, Bongiwe Tsambokhulu. 

In a filled hall, Msimisi announced that the Festival Xplosion event was aimed at creating a tourist attraction while also raising the bar and setting the standard in the entertainment scene. He made it clear that they wanted to build this festival until it became the top event in the country and further listed among the biggest events in Africa.

While unpacking the festival, Msimisi revealed that they partnered with Fireworks for Africa to make sure they produce a great display of fireworks during the night of the show. Fireworks for Africa are well known for hosting magnitude fireworks displays around the globe. The company has won seven awards for its amazing work and they have worked in 34 countries. They are also popular for hosting the annual pyrotechnics in Australia on New Year’s Eve.

“We are coming with an event that will give people a reason to come to the country. We want to draw people from around the world with this event. We are aiming at building an iconic event. This is not just a show but a movement; we want to sell Eswatini to the outside world through this event. We will do this through a great show that will be filled with great musicians from around the world and also through pictures and videos from the event,” an enthusiastic Msimisi said.

Fireworks

He further mentioned that besides the great fireworks display, they further selected the finest artists both in the country and from across our borders to come and render performances. 
Though he did not want to share more details about the line-up, Msimisi stated that they would be bringing exciting international musicians.

The festival will not only be about pyrotechnics and live music as there will also be food and lifestyle availed to fun lovers where five cuisines including Chinese, Indian, Portuguese and Traditional food will be made available. Rabbit meat and other types of meals will be on the menu during the festival.
