MBABANE - Through the MultiChoice Talent Factory Masterclass, producers, directors and script writers were up-skilled by Pan-African storytelling, and creative consultant Allison Triegaardt.

This was at an intense two-day workshop that took place at Royal Swazi Sun.  The MultiChoice Talent Factory Masterclasses offer exclusive access to practical, industry expert-led skills workshops that afford film and television professionals the ability to interact and learn from the best in Africa and the world.

Efforts

The objective of the MultiChoice Talent Factory Masterclasses is to formalise MultiChoice’s long-standing but ad-hoc efforts to address industry concerns such as accessibility, opportunity, and quality in local productions. All Masterclass workshops are conducted by leading African and international industry experts. The Storytelling Masterclass was made possible through collaboration with MultiChoice Eswatini partners at the Ministry of ICT, EBIS, ENCAC, EIFTPA, ESTVA and Limkokwing.

This is advantageous for the local film industry as it addresses the skills gap and emaSwati are empowered through the production of quality work as they become content providers for the DStv platform.

Thank

“I would like to thank Phesheya Dube Director of Information and Media Development at the Ministry of ICT, Bongani Dlamini ESTVA CEO, Martin Dlamini EBIS Director, Stanley Dlamini ENCAC CEO, Nhlanhla Zwane from EIFTPA and Rheli Mugisha from Limkokwing for the collaboration and their efforts in making sure that MultiChoice Eswatini hosted a successful masterclass in storytelling,” MultiChoice Eswatini General Manager, Phumi Drummond, said.
