MBABANE – A popular pastor is back in the country after his life was allegedly threatened in South Africa.

Things have not turned out as planned for one of the local pastors, who packed his bags and headed to the neighbouring country, with the hope of striking a major breakthrough.

The man of the cloth, whose identity is known to this publication but will not be revealed due to the sensitive allegations raised against him, had previously stationed his main church at Mvutjini and also had an active branch in the capital city.

Based

The famous pastor was based in Jozini, northen of KwaZulu-Natal, where he was in charge of the church he opened there.
However, last Thursday things took a nasty turn as the church building was vandalised by a group of angry people.
It is alleged that the residents of the area said they did not want to see the pastor again.

The litany of allegations made against the senior pastor will not be repeated because they have not been tested in court.

Allegations

However, the chairman of the church committee, Alpha Dlamini, rubbished the allegations against the pastor and the church.
“Everything that has been said is not true.

“They are trying to tarnish the image of our pastor. The devil is at work,” Dlamini said in his brief response to the whole matter playing itself out in Jozini.
According to other pastors from the same area, the local pastor belittled them in so many ways throughout his stay in the remote area.

“I am still angry at him for the things he used to say about us and the things he did to our people here.

Focus

However, I will not focus on all that as it would appear as if I am celebrating or jealous of him,” one of the pastors, who asked for his identity to be protected, said.

When contacted most influential pastors said they were not aware of the matter hence asked not to comment on it.
They warned people against violence, especially against churches as they observed this had become a growing trend.
