SPEAKING POTENTIAL OF NEW YEAR

For many, the New Year is renewed hope for them; new hopes, new dreams, new goals, new resolutions! All is just new and they are looking forward to the New Year.

These hopes are perpetrated by many things, and for some, it is because of the achieved previous year which made them geared for the following year. For many, it is the failed previous year which fuels them up to have a greater year the following year.
Model Nicole Shabangu, like many, had a mix of both positives and negatives in her life and this 2019, she is determined to embrace the goal-oriented side to her.

Many may have been dismayed by previous incidents but STYLE had an intimate one on one chit chat with the beauty which may also motivate many to look up to the year with optimism.

Nicole Shabangu is a model from Matsapha, Mfabantfu and she is the daughter to Margret Brown. She attended high school at Swazi National and completed at Elangeni High School. She furthered her studies at Birch Cooper where she studied Intermediate Diploma in Secretarial and Administrative Studies. She then enrolled at UNISWA for a Psycho Social Course.

What does a new year mean to you?

Actually, I was never a big believer in the ‘New Year, New Start’ phase until, in my adult life, I realised that the new year means everything to some people. Sometimes, the only thing a person might only need is just hope and this is their hope; their new year.

Everyone has goals and dreams and they try work towards them.  With you, how do you work towards your goals? What habits do you drop and which have you picked up to ensure you have a successful year?
To be brutally honest, I have been slacking a bit of late but I am planning to work on that. Procrastination is everyone’s biggest enemy which we have to drop pronto and have that ‘I am set to do it now’ mentality. Procrastination has the ability to steal a person’s whole year and that is one thing I, and encouraging others to drop ASAP.

What were your highlights last year?
I spent more time with my son and this is the biggest achievement ever. I watched him grow and contributed to that! Our children are the most fundamental parts of our lives and their well-being is our well-being.

What were your worst moments last year?
Can I not point that out…? I am all positives now! LOL.

In your own words, what are things that kill dreams and should be done away with?
It’s nothing but negativity and this may be self-inflicted or done so by your surroundings- even family and friends. People should shun being defined by people of what they are capable of and not capable of- this is a big weapon to dreams. Keep positive and your head held up high.

What are your hopes for 2019?
Money, school and more money. I will end there.

What resolution is always on your list year after year?
My son is always on top of the list. To make him happy and all I do I do it for him.

Wise words for 2019...
A person attracts what they radiate; keep positive and attract positive!
