She revealed this last week and splashed it throughout her social media pages.
This happened barely two months after she was revealed as the new face of Donna, a clothing retail outlet that celebrates plus size fashion and the curves it’s designed for.

Donna is the destination of choice for the curvy South African woman.
Donna is an entity under TFG, an entity which offers a comprehensive portfolio of 18 retail brands that include clothing, footwear, jewellery, sportswear, mobile phones, technology products and home stores.

They strive to be leaders in the fashion and lifestyle sectors of the retail industry in Africa and their diverse brands allow them to push the boundaries of the retail industry in new and innovative ways. They have over 2 000 stores across Africa, all of which boast their excellent in-store experience.
“This swimwear line is just for inclusion. Big women have found it difficult to find their swimwear type and taste and I am all for giving them that,” she told STYLE.

Such achievements are not new for Tshabalala as she has been part of the Lagos Fashion and Design Week in Nigeria.
Her first experience on the ramp was at the Mercedes Fashion Week in Johannesburg early last year.
Also, she was featured in an online magazine known as ZAlebs in an article titled ‘The plus-size revolution: How these celebs are shutting it down with their bodies’ where she was categorised as South Africa’s most inspiring plus-sized celebrity.

‘You attract what you radiate’.

This is a favourite quote from The Secret, a self-help book that preaches on believing in self and it has applied in Tshabalala’s life.
Self-acceptance in women, especially young women, is hard; especially if that person is a plus size. Actually, many believe the body size can be a limitation to many dreams and aspirations but Lala has many times proven that the body is not a limitation to dreams.

Lala is a ‘Thick Women’ activist from Mbabane and she is currently based in South Africa. Besides being on the ramp, the beauty has a podcast called ‘Vlogue’; which mainly elicits on looks and current issues. Entrepreneurship is fundamental these days and following in the foot-steps of Lala is not a bad idea. Here are tips on how to follow pursuit according to CrowSpring.com

Tips for Starting a Successful Clothing Brand:

Develop your clothing brand

The importance of your brand identity cannot be understated – especially in the world of fashion. Clothing is very personal because our clothing choices are one of the ways that we define our identity – to both ourselves and to the world. As a result, the brands we choose to wear and the labels we display on our clothes become an extension of who we are and how we see ourselves.

Fill in the business blanks

Once you define your brand, you can begin to think about the vitally important details of actually starting and running a clothing company. From choosing a fashion business structure to pricing, licensing and permits to business plan…

Plan for manufacturing

Unless you personally plan to sew every garment you sell (a business model that would be impossible to scale) you’ll need to consider how your collection will be manufactured.

A manufacturer is not just the means to an end – it’s the partner that will help you make your ideas a physical reality. So, making the right choice of clothing manufacturer is critical.

Create a sales plan
There’s more to a clothing line business than manufacturing. Once you have manufacturing well in hand, build your marketing plan and consider how you will sell your new clothing line. Where do you plan to sell your clothing line? In an online shop or online clothing store? In a brick and mortar clothing store of your own? Or maybe you want to sell in local boutiques that feature many different clothing items?

Spread the word

If you’ve made it this far, you know your brand inside and out, all of your legal business details and business plan are in place, you have a manufacturing partner producing your garments, and a plan for selling them.
Now it’s time to focus on getting the word out about your fabulous new clothing business, a new line of clothes, and to find potential customers!
