MBABANE - Great stories with in-depth knowledge change the world and people with such stories deserve the platform to tell them!

Swazi Mobile Chief Customer Executive Gciniwe Fakudze, has been featured under a developmental initiative known as 1 000 Voices Africa, an online podcast which profiles African people. Fakudze is the 37th voice which represents the country.

1 000 Voices Africa is an SABC online radio where they profile African people per country, to get views on how the country is and how it operates, and Fakudze was officially profiled last Thursday.

According to Fakudze, the 1 000 Voices Africa team fell in love with her and asked her for an interview.
The interview is currently live on the website and Fakudze beautifully represents the country.
“The interview shared my success story across the continent of Africa, giving a picture of Eswatini (the culture and norms and what makes Eswatini to be such a peaceful place),” explained Fakudze.

She also shared how she adapted to the career change after being a CEO for so many years.

Hoped

She said she hoped that every girl child could make it in their different countries by sharing her life story.
“The sky is the limit really and anyone can be literally anything they dream to be, including young women,” she said.

1 000 African Voices is more than just a podcast. It is a project aimed at breaking down the boundaries that we have as Africans; the boundaries that divide the beautiful continent of Africa.

Over the coming years, 1 000 Voices Africa will do this by collecting and sharing stories from all parts of Africa; stories from our sisters in Ghana, Nigeria, Namibia and the Democratic Republic of Congo and all over. They invite all Africans on the continent and in the diaspora to be part of the Kuungana Africa

Project.

1 000 African Voices Senior Researcher Nondumiso Mzukwa, confirmed their interest in Fakudze, stating that their interview takes between 40 minutes and one hour and in this time, the interviewee tells their personal story with insight.
