MBABANE – Will the upcoming Durban Swazi Party be a mother of parties?

The answer to the question seems to be affirmative as South Africa’s Professor, L’Vovo and Danger have been added on the line-up of the annual Durban Swazi Party, which is slated for this Saturday at Eyadini in Durban, South Africa.

The line-up was released yesterday by Durban Swazi Party Co-Pioneer, businessman DJ Touch of Soul, whose real name is Thabo Mnisi.
He stated that the most anticipated party of the year will feature a surprise artist.
Professor, a music producer and entertainer from Kalawa Jazmee, is known for his hit tracks, including ‘Imoto Entshontsha Imali’ and amazing stage performers.

L’Vovo is known for his vibrancy, which is influenced by the Durban party life which was motivated by his legendary song ‘Resista’.
Danger, on the other hand, is the surviving member of Big Nuz, a group which hit in the late 2000s.

Artists

Also added to the line-up are renowned DJs Merlon and Mondli Ngqobo of ‘Koze kuse’ fame, vocalist Holly Rey and other South African artists.
“We will also have a surprise act which, we are certain, will blow fun lovers away,” said Mnisi.
Also, the line-up consists of Eswatini golden boy Sands, the legendary afro soul and jazz artist Bholoja, songbird Velemseni, Nomalungelo, hip hop maestro DJ Master P, and others who are yet to be revealed.

Sands rose to fame and was recognised internationally after dropping ‘Tigi’, a song which proved to be a game changer in his music career.
Velemseni is known among locals and beyond for her sterling voice and her ‘Hey Mama’, which is her trademark song.
Bholoja, the ‘Zero to Hero’ artist, is one of Eswatini’s iconic artists, who had been given accolades as far as France and other European countries.

Worked

Nomalungelo, on the other hand, has worked expensively in the South African music industry.
She has a song with South African music producer, DJ Qness.
Eswatini king of decks Master P won the MTN SWAMA Awards Best DJ of the Year last year.

“Also, in the line-up is Mega Sound and they were chosen because of their energy and vibrancy,” said Mnisi.
Mega Sound is an events and entertainment entity, which was established over three years ago and its members include Zipho Mthandeni, Zulu D, DJ Smish, Yugo, TBW and others.

Mnisi urged emaSwati to join in the party, which promises to be big.
“The support will mean a lot to emaSwati who are based in Durban and also, it will portray the unity among emaSwati,” he said.
