AMANDA MO TO WORK WITH SA’S DJ FRESH

MBABANE – It has been a long journey to get Amanda Mo’s first ever album released.


The album, which is titled ‘Sitsandzile’, will comprise of tracks produced by Sabelo ‘Subjamz’ Sithungo and DJ Mapho- risa.
The RnB artist also revealed a collaboration with South African radio personality DJ Fresh was on the cards.


Amanda Mo said the legendary spinner requested to feature her on a song that he is currently working on. She said the album will be out soon as they are already done working on it.
“To say I am excited would be an understatement. We have worked hard to put this album together and I am excited to finally share what we have created. I cannot wait for everyone to hear it and I hope that people will love it as much as I do,” she said.

Thato Sikwane, professionally known as DJ Fresh is a South African radio DJ, entrepreneur and radio, music, television producer best known as a host on Metro FM.
Sikwane was born and raised in Botswana.


He first came to public attention in 1997 when he became a host on YFM, a South African radio station, and later in 2006 joined 5FM, in April 2017, he moved over to Metro FM. Sikwane is much more commonly known as DJ Fresh or The Big Dawg.
Fresh has released 32 albums to date. Fresh is also one of the judges of the e.tv reality competition SA’s Got Talent, since October 2014.


Mo added she was currently involved in an intensive tour around South Africa while also adding she was currently busy with listening sessions with her team.
Her manager, Phila Nkosi said the tour’s main objective was to promote her song titled ‘Amen’.


“The tour itself is to also promote the song Amen which she partnered with DJ Qness. The song has been sitting on number three on the South African charts for the past month,” he said.
The talented artist has now become a household name since her signing to Icon PB, a company managed by Nkosi which deals with artist management and promotions.
Her first single ‘Uwami’, a song about love, got local and international fans dancing as it received massive airplay and further topped charts.

“It was our plan to have an Amanda Mo album in 2018. We were meant to release it in July but we had a few items unticked in the list and so we had to wait for the right time.
‘‘The tour is meant to give awareness and evoke the power of her talent to those who have forgotten,” he said.


The tour included SABC stations Munga Lonene, Ikhwekwezi fm, Ligwalgwala fm, Phalaphala fm, Thobela fm and also independent stations like Capriocorn fm and Rise Fm. Nkosi said the tour will move through Limpopo, Mpumalanga and Gauteng.
“We are hoping that Southern Africa will love the album and as always we aim to sell gold and platinum. We will not rest until we are done,” Nkosi concluded.
