MISS HIGH SCHOOL LEGENDS POSTPONED
MBABANE – Attention all pageant ticket holders!! The Miss High Legends Pageant 2018 has changed their event date from August 25 to September 29, 2018.
The first of its kind pageant had to shift the dates in respect of the upcoming primary elections. The pageant will still be held at Sibane Hotel from 11am. Founder of the Pageant Gcinile Dludlu , apologised for any inconvenience caused by the date changes and said she hoped the event would still run according to plan. “We have worked hard hand in hand with Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture to make sure the pageant is of high standards. I can only appeal to those ticket holders to please to make time in their schedule for the new date,” said Dludlu.
She further added that those who were interested in the event and had not bought their tickets yet, needed to not worry as still tickets available. VIP tickets cost E220 inclusive of a meal and drinks, while general tickets cost E100. All ticket holders stand a chance to win a smartphone during a raffle draw to be held on the day .
“It will be a day of not only celebrating our young high school contestants ,but also prize giveaways and there will be entertainment by local poets and cultural dances,” added Dludlu.
The Miss High Legends Pageant was officially launched at the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC) premises on July 13, 2018.
Miss High School Legend Eswatini pageant aims to encourage young girls to complete school, and further their studies in careers of their choice. The pageant team recognises the need of a young influencer due to the significant amount of girls who drop out of school due to pregnancy, drugs and alcohol. “The main mission of the event is to produce a queen that will influence the young people in the country through the way she looks after herself while still earning an education,” said Dludlu.
