MBABANE – Its E420 000 for this year’s SwaziBank Schools Choral Music Competition.

This sees the annual sponsorship which is the highest in the choral genre grow by E20 000 as it was at E400 000 in 2017.
Confirming the sponsorship was SwaziBank Managing Director Zakhele Lukhele.

He announced the sponsorship yesterday morning at the bank’s boardroom in Mbabane.
“We are here today to officially kick start the 14th edition of this annual competition. The bank continues to have confidence in the competition hence the consistent sponsorship and support,” said Lukhele.

He said they have observed in the previous years the growth in the competition as more schools participate.
He said the amount announced excludes financial support provided by the bank towards other costs of the competition such as branding, promotional merchandise and events management.

Lukhele said they were looking forward to the start of the competition this weekend as it is scheduled for June 16, and they  hope it will be a success until the day of the main finale.

“We look forward to a very competitive competition as we have noticed in recent years that more schools are joining. I would like to reaffirm the continuation of the sponsorship going into the future,” he said.
