ALL SET FOR THE FIRE TO BE LIT!

MBABANE – No need to stress with the long queues as Ministry of Home Affairs is ready to speed things up at the various border posts.


Many have raised concerns about long queues at the border posts this coming weekend, since a high number of internationals will be coming into the country for the MTN BUSHFIRE Festival weekend. The Ministry of Home Affairs has said not to worry as they are ready to assist with the fast movement of queues.


While on the issue of queues at the border, House on Fire’s Communications Officer Noncedo Dlamini said that they were expecting over 25 000 fun lovers who had shown interest towards attending the weekend-long MTN BUSHFIRE Festival, however Dlamini also said that they were aware of some of the internationals who are already in the country that got in as early as last Monday.


Speaking to Principal Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Anthony Masilela, he said they would be increasing staff at the various border posts so as  to have fast service which will lead to the speeding up of lines when coming in and going out of the country.


“We are aware that this is one of the most busiest weekends in the country, which is the reason why we will be a bit lenient when it comes to closing hours, however, we are not implying that hours have been extended we are simply saying that we may add an extension of an hour or two. On top of that we will add more staff ,” said Masilela.
