MI CASA FOR LUJU FOOD & LIFESTYLE FESTIVAL

MBABANE – With their slogan being ‘Eat. Sway. Love’, they have added ‘super fun’ by incorporating South Africa’s house music boy band Mi Casa.


The festival is set for August 14.
Not only will the ‘These Streets’ hit makers grace the event, one of the headline chefs will be the well-loved J’Something, who  will be attending in his capacity as a chef, food lover, as well as fronting a performance with the South African legends,  Mi Casa, on the Luju Main Stage. J’Something’s spicy authentic Portuguese heritage and hearty home-grown South African food has become his trademark.

Most recently, he has been showcased as a headline chef appearing next to greats such as Marco Pierre White, Jan Hendrick and George Calombaris. The House on Fire team confirmed this information, stating that this South African crew which last performed in the country in 2016 will be spending the day with Emaswati.


Luju Food and Lifestyle Festival’s main aim is to bring and celebrate the unique tastes, smells, sights and sounds of Eswatini and surrounds. The Standard Bank Luju Food and Lifestyle Festival will be a sensory experience unlike any other.


Celebrating the diverse and often hidden tastes, smells and flavours of Southern Africa with an authentically African rooted programme; Luju will feature cooking demos and master-classes by seasoned chefs in the region, the best in African fashion, design and arts, as well as some exciting music and comedy performances by artists from Eswatini, South Africa, Mozambique and beyond.


“Some activities for the weekend will include glass-blowing and candle-making showcases to be put on by Ngwenya Glass and Swazi Candles, as well as a traditional dance show at the nearby Mantenga Cultural Village which will create a culturally rich and memorable Eswatini experience for all Luju visitors,” said the team.

This wholesome experience is attainable at E350 for general tickets and E600 for the VIP ticket.
