MHLOSHENI – In approximately 12 hours, Sipho Makhabane had three congregations eating from the palm of his hand.

The popular gospel artist, Makhabane, visited the Evangelical Church at Mhlosheni before going to High Praise Assemblies International Ministry and Bethesda Church, both in Nhlangano.

His journey to the Shiselweni Region started last Saturday evening with a motivational speech on the importance of education at Evangelical Church.

However, before his speech, Makhabane, who is famously known as ‘Big Fish’, got the over 1 000 youth members of the church into a dancing mood. At some point during his performance, the Swazi-born artist, made the crowd to dance with their chairs up in the air.
Some of the songs he sang included, ‘There is a race’, ‘ziyawa izindonga ze Jericho’, ‘Baba vusowakho’, ‘My God is goodo’ and many others.

The following  Sunday morning, he made congregants of High Praise Assemblies International cry  in worship jubilation , before leaving those of Bethesda Church yearning for more.

At the end of his approximately 50 minutes evening performance, Makhabane started his motivational speech. The Grade 5  drop out based his motivation on a verse from the Bible, Isaiah 41 verse 10.  The verse reads: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

He explained that they should not be fearful of challenges because God would always be there for them.
Making an example about himself, Makhabane told the youth that many people only saw him as a successful person, but they were not aware that he dropped out of school while doing Grade 5. “That did not stop me from pursuing my dreams.
