CORRECTIONAL SERVICES CHOIR E18 000 RICHER

MATSAPHA – His Majesty’s Correctional Services Choir (HMCSC) is E18 000 richer.


The choir, conducted by Melisizwe Zwane, is the champions of the Standard Bank Choral Music Championship.
HMCSC continued to dominate in the choral music industry after winning first position during the competition held at at the Kwaluseni Sports Emporium Hall yesterday.


The choir seemed to be well prepared as it made sure that it sang well especially in the African piece section.
As soon as they took to the stage, they showed their dominance. The choir seemed to have gone to the competition for a win.


Improved


Giving them a tight competition was improved Manzini Choir. Although Manzini Choir was not much of a threat they managed to bring competition which was loved by most choral music lovers. By the time the competition came to an end, choral music lovers had an idea that HMCSC would become the overall winners.


Most choral music lovers felt the adjudicators were fair as they felt the score was according to what took place. To be champions, the choir had to sing better than Manzini Choir who came second while Royal Eswatini Police Choir came third.


HMCSC scored 166 marks to become winners while Manzini Choir came second with 157 marks.
Royal Eswatini Police Choir came third with only 148 marks.
