JOHN PHILIP SCHOOL OF MUSIC INTRODUCES CHILDREN SESSIONS
MBABANE – Gerald Ford, a former President of the USA, once said Music Education opens doors that help children pass from school into the world around them.
He further went on to say that the future of every country depend on providing children with complete education that included music.
John Philips, who is the owner and co-founder of John Philips School of Music, is determined to take the music industry to greater heights with the type of people he is grooming in his school of music.
“Some children are naturally gifted musically and others through passion and exposure have developed to love and desire to pursue music. This is a desire I want to nurture,” said Phillip.
He said considering several factors, which mainly focused on the economic state of the country and several prospective clients who had expressed their interest in learning but had however failed to enroll with them due to financial constraints.
They have now created a club that is aimed at assisting children who wish to learn but cannot afford to.
The music school has been running for three years and has been of great help towards individuals who are interested in music. The music education advocacy is child-friendly.
“It is all about early musical training for the children and helps develop their language and reasoning.
“It is thought that brain development continues for many years after birth.
“Musical training in an early age helps them to conquer fear and take risks, a little anxiety is a good thing and something that will occur often in life, and this is exactly what the John Philip School of Music aims at achieving from introducing this new program,” he said.
“This programme will run for 12 months, commencing on the date of enrolment for those willing to join for classes.
Fees cost E2 400 for the entire 12 months, with a deposit of E500 to get started. The rest of the fees can be paid in five monthly installments of E380 per month.
