MBABANE – Who says Valentine’s Day is only for couples?

Happy Valley Hotel is offering an intimate non-Valentine’s Day affair celebration for single people only.
It is a first of its kind theme for Valentine’s weekend that is meant for singles only!

The non-Valentine’s Day celebration will be hosted at the hotel on February 16, which is two days after Valentine’s Day where lovers get to have their own celebration.

Happy Valley Hotel’s Marketing Officer Noxolo Nkabinde said music, laughter, and fun will be the order of the day at this event themed ‘Love Bites’, masks and heels.

“The non-Valentine’s Day event is an event for all single people, male and females. Happy Valley Hotel’s aim was to do something different from the norm, and cater for a different market. It is a fact that there are many people that are single (by choice, some not) who usually do not have anything planned as most events caters for love birds. This is the one event where love birds are not allowed.

“Also, this concept is meant to incorporate talks that will be headed by established pastor and conference speaker Pastor Bakhe Dlamini. The relationship columnist will give a talk on finding the right partner, a topic which will provide answers to those who may have questions on relationships and dating in general.

The certified marriage officer and counsellor will also take questions and answers on the topic where attendees will get an opportunity to ask questions which may touch more on their personal experiences,” she said.

Entertainment will be provided by outstanding afro soul artist Floewe, who will deliver an intimate acoustic set at the event.
“Another exciting part is the possibilities of meeting someone new at the event, as there will be a session dedicated to networking among the attendees where they get to swap partners for four minutes and ask questions about the potential suitor.

It cannot be assumed that all single people want to ‘meet someone new’ so the conversation is entirely up to our attendees, they could talk about joys of single life, exchange contacts, or just speak about the weather for 4 minutes before moving on to the next person,” she said.
There will only be a limited number of spaces available. Information on booking space and prices will be availed soon.
