LYRICAL BUSTA ON ANNUAL BLOG

MBABANE – If you think it is still a tough mission  for Swazis to make it to internationally celebrated platforms, think again.

Rapper Lyrical Busta, Thandolwethu Masuku, has made it on the African Hip Hop Blog, an internationally recognised magazine which promotes high profile hip hop artists.

The article was published last week on the popular blog that was awarded as the Best Blog in South Africa 2017.
Other big names that have been featured on the blog include South Africa’s Hip Hop giants Kwesta, Ricky Rik, Ms Cosmo, Priddy Ugly EMtee, Gigi Lamayne and Reason.

Lyrical Busta said he was granted the interview through Phila Dlamini, a Swazi born publicist based in Ukraine.
“I was told that the selection process for artists to make it in the blog is strict and I took my chances and prayed to be featured,” said the rapper.

He said he was notified that he would be featured when he was least expecting it.
“I guess the blog saw that my material was good enough to compete internationally and the quality of the music was good,” he said.
This is just another highlight on Lyrical Busta’s booming career.

Recognition

In the meantime, the man behind Lyrical Busta’s interview, Phila Dlamini, said that the artist definitely deserved the recognition.
“I am a freelancer for the blog and my influence assisted in his recognition, he deserves it,” he said.
