MBABANE – His Majesty’s Correctional Services Commissioner General Mzuthini Ntshangase is a proud man.

His Majesty’s Correctional Services (HMCS) Choral Choir choristers, got to witness this during the  choir’s trophy presentation.
The choir won during the 40th Old Mutual Music Festival held last weekend. The choir obtained second position in the Large Section Category of the competition.

They presented the trophy and the E90 000 replica cheque to the commissioner general last Wednesday at the institution’s headquarters.
Speaking during the presentation,  Ntshangase  expressed his gratitude over the splendid performance delivered by the choir during the competition.

He first acknowledged the role played by God who has been the pillar of the choir throughout its toil.
He said even though the choir had begun preparations a long time ago, such efforts would not have reached fruition without the hand of the Almighty.

Ntshangase then took time to applaud the choir conductor, its management as well as the choristers for applying themselves fully while in the competition.
He said he was pleased to learn of the spirit of competition that existed among the choristers, wherein they did not merely participate but competed to bring home good results which included the trophy and the money.

Ntshangase, who personally travelled to Johannesburg to support the choir, also stated that though His Majesty’s Correctional Services  Choral Choir was placed second, it was evidently clear to all spectators that the trophy would come home.
