MBABANE – Beauty pageant queens from different parts of the world are coming together to make the world a better place.
Nanami Chinatsu Tsuyama, who is the reigning Miss Japan Heritage, landed in the country last Tuesday to carry out her charity work commitments.

The beauty queen made a commitment back in February during the Miss Cultural Heritage World pageant, where she formed a strong friendship bond with Miss Cultural Heritage Swaziland Nelisiwe Shongwe. The Japanese beauty queen chose New Hope Centre in Matsapha as her focus.

Tomorrow Tsuyama will be hosting a fun day for the orphans of New Hope Centre where she will be donating food parcels and clothing to the orphanage.

Speaking to the publication, the Japanese beauty said that it was part of her mandate as the reigning queen to carry out duties that will benefit not only her society, but other countries.  She also highlighted that her trip was made possible by Swazi based zipper company YKK.  This is a Japanese factory situated in the heart of Matsapha Industrial Site.

According to Pageant SD’s Catrien Potgieter the Japanese beauty queen’s visit will not only be recognised through her hosting a charity event, but she will get the opportunity to meet up with other local beauty queens.  “They will get to share ideas on how to impact change in their different communities as beauty queens,” said Potgieter.
