MBABANE – It will be a day of electrifying guitar sounds and beating of drums.

The inaugural Mhlambanyatsi Fun Fair which is set for Saturday at In The Woods is bringing South Africa’s renowned band known as The Muffinz. This was revealed and confirmed by the Event Co-ordinator, Lucio Assevedo.

The Muffinz is a five member band which rose to fame through their track ‘Sound Check’ and later, their album ‘Do What You Love’. Their songs have an element of house music, soul, RnB and jazz.

This crew, which is composed of Simphiwe Kullah, Mthambisi Sibanda, Gregory Mabusela, Karabo Moeketsi and Sifiso Buthelezi, is not new to the Swazi crowd. They have performed at House on Fire, and at the Yebo Mzala Yebo Gogo Arts Festival which was last year October.

Line-up

Also added to the line-up is South Africa’s soul vocalist Princess, Shekinah Motsa, Marcus SD and Cleopatra.
Mhlambanyatsi Fun Fair is also bringing isiqathamiya Kwa-Zulu Natal group known as Thee Legacy and ‘Akamali’ hit maker Sumthang Sowetan.

Assevedo stated that the organising committee felt the need to rope in The Muffinz because of demand.
“People have been pleading with us to bring The Muffinz; they said the line-up would not be complete without this South African group in it.

“Also, the relationship that the group has with Bholoja, who is part of the organising committee, motivated our decision,” he said.
Assvedo promised music lovers a feast in music on Saturday.
