MBABANE – DJ Quess has four albums to his name and the latest was produced by local music maestro Mozaik.

The DJ whose real name is  Qhubani Ndlovu has had the pleasure of working with Claiming Ground’s Mozaik ‘The Producer’ on his new album titled ‘The art of EDM’.

This is a huge step for the local music producer Muzi ‘Mozaik’ Ngwenya, as DJ Qness chose him especially for the project.
The South African DJ, recording artist, entrepreneur, music business consultant and record producer first heard of Mozaik through ‘Imiyalo’ which is a song he had done with vocalist Nomalungelo.

It’s this song that prompted the South African DJ to ditch all other producers and call on Swaziland’s own Mozaik for his latest album.
“When DJ Qness first approached me to remix ‘Imiyalo’ I gave him a tough time about it, as I wanted to be sure Swaziland would be recognised. In most cases we find ourselves losing out on getting deserved credit for our work when it is remixed in South Arica, but we eventually agreed and Imiyalo later became a hit in the South African market.
That is when our working relationship started,” said Mozaik.

He further revealed that since then he has been working with DJ Qness on a few projects and in 2016 they started working on a few singles one of them being the hit single ‘My World.’ The two then worked together on the Coke studio song ‘Can you feel it’, which became an international melody.

On the new DJ Qness’ album, Mozaik co-produced the whole album and featured in two singles.
