MBABANE – It has been the local gospel anthem since its release, and now the sounds of ‘Gelekece’ will be heard in Durban, South Africa this Sunday.

This will be during the SABC Crown Gospel Music Awards scheduled to kick off from Friday, November 24 until Sunday November 26.
Gospel artist Nduduzo Matse will for the first time perform on the Crown Gospel Awards stage, where he is also nominated under Best International Act.‘Gelekece’ is the same song that led to Matse’s nomination in the awards scheduled for the ICC Hall.

Nominated

While performing, he also hopes to come back home with the award as he is the only Swazi artist that has been nominated.
Matse is expected to leave the country on Friday, to attend the rehearsals to be held on Saturday before the main night.
“I am honoured by the invitation. I received a call from the organisers who said they had seen my performance and felt it  can be great entertainment for the  event,” he said.
He said he could not wait to be on stage as this is one opportunity he has been waiting for.

Lucky

“When you are given such an opportunity, you need to grab it with both hands. A number of gospel artists wish to be on the Crown Gospel Awards stage, and God has granted me the platform. I am lucky to be among the artists who were selected. I am really honoured,” said a clearly elated Matse.
