MANZINI – Local gospel artists were a marvel to watch at the first SITF Gospel Sunday.

This was witnessed at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre, during the second day of the Swaziland International Trade Fair. The Gospel Sundays always attract crowds of over 1 000 and this year was no different.

Standing out among the 10 performers who were lined up for the show were Nduduzo Matse and Police Gospel Messengers who made sure that they kept the gospel music lovers dancing throughout.

Matse proved the truth in the saying  “ Save the best for last,” as he  was the last performer but gave one of the best performances received by the masses. The gospel star had clearly prepared well for the show as he interacted with fans and had them singing along. One of the songs which was a hit was ‘Gelekece’.

Everyone knew the lyrics from the very first note and helped Matse sing along, turning the show into one joyous occasion.
Adding spice to his already hot performance, Matse called onto the stage another local songbird, vocal power house Banele Dlamini.

Dlamini who is a member of Swazi Praise Group sang her famous song track titled ‘Endleleni Yonke’. This song saw gospel music lovers turn the ground turf into a ‘holy’ dance floor. As soon as she was about to go off stage, the audience demanded an encore and she obliged, much to the fans delight. Also at their best was the Police Gospel Messengers.

The group led by the Association of Christian Artists in Swaziland (ACASWA) President, Zakhele Ginindza was just a marvel to watch. The group members who are mainly police officers made sure that they  give their best, entertaining the fans with their dancing skills.
