CHOIRS FOR OLD MUTUAL CHORAL REVEALED

MBABANE – The countdown to the harmonious melodic sounds of choral music has begun.

For choral music lovers, Esibayeni Lodge is the only place for them to be this coming Sunday, with 13 choirs taking part in the Old Mutual Choral Music Festival’s elimination. Sweet Sounds will be the first to take the stage under the large section category.

Performance

According to the order of performance, the choir led by Mathokoza Sibiya will be the first to compete followed by the Mbabane Methodist Church Choir. Next will be Royal Swaziland Police Choir and coming after will be His Majesty’s Correctional Services Choir.
Closing the stage will be none other than one of the country’s oldest choir, Manzini Choir.
Under the standard section, opening the set will be Sishayingoma Choristers who will be followed by Lobamba Choral.

Cathedral

Also competing in this section will be FTM Choir, Asihlabelele Choral Society, Manzini Cathedral and the Florence Catholic Church Choir.
The organisers of the festival are already preparing the stage for the eliminations.
Bheki Maziya, Swaziland National Choral Music Association (SNCMA) Public Relations Officer (PRO) said all the choirs were almost ready for Sunday. He invited all choral music lovers to make sure they did not miss the festival, saying it will be nothing but the best event.

Commitment

Maziya said they were expecting all the choirs to raise the bar adding that they had seen a lot of commitment especially during the preparations of the event.
“If you are a choral music lover, make sure you do not miss out  on  the show this Sunday. It will be nothing but the best elimination,” he said. Tickets are available at CompuTicket at all SPAR outlets at E50.
