EZULWINI – Prime Minister Sibusiso Barnabas Dlamini sees the MTN SWAMA Awards as a tool specifically for uplifting local talent in the country.

A recorded speech from the PM was played just before the awards began. Fun lovers listened attentively to the PM thanking all the stakeholders who made the event a success.

The PM said it was impressing to see companies like MTN Swaziland playing a part in developing talent in the country.
“These awards seek to recognise those who have contributed to the industry over the years. They are a feeder to the country’s art development and play a role at developing and discovering new talent as well,” he said.

The PM thanked the organisers and the judges for working tirelessly in making sure the event became nothing but the best.
“We are seeing nothing but a top class event and it is the reason why we take this opportunity to thank all who have played a role in making this event a success,” he said.

He further congratulated all the winners, saying they should be proud of the contribution they have made in the country’s music industry.
Also praising the artists was MTN Swaziland’s CEO Ambrose Dlamini, who thanked them for developing the industry and making it to be what it is today.

He said as MTN Swaziland, they were proud to be part of the awards, as this was a great opportunity of networking with the artists through music.

Dlamini went on to congratulate the winners, saying the  evening would always be memorable to them, adding that it was a good thing to be among artists who are celebrating  their success in this fashion.
