MBABANE – It can only be the fact that one is good enough ,for them to be invited to perform alongside other celebrated internationally recognised musical greats like CasSper Nyovest.

Local producer and hip hop artist Mozaik together with one of Swaziland’s celebrated hip hop disc jockey’s Master P have been invited to perform at this year’s Gaborone International Music and Culture week.
The Gaborone International Music and Culture day (GIMC) is a multi discipline event that celebrates Gaborone City and its residents. GIMC is held every end of August and ends the first week of September. This event was started four years ago by Thapelo Pabalinga.  The two local artists were invited to the GIMC after the organisers were exposed to both ‘Right on Time’ and ‘Phenomenal Party’ which are the artists singles.

The Swaziland National Council of Arts and Culture (SNCAC) has donated a sum of E5000 towards these two local artists trip. Mozaik and Master P will leave the country on August 30 and will return September 3 after the show.
The cheque handover took place at the National Archives in Lobamba,
following the Swaziland National Council of Arts and their Culture monthly board lunch.  Mr Stanley Dlamini, the SNCAC CEO, wished the artists well and reminded them of the importance of being on their best behaviour as they would be representing the country and not just themselves and their personal brands.

The artist both expressed their gratitude to the SNCAC board of
directors and assured them that they would act in accordance with the
Swazi values of, respect, humility, and gratitude. Gaborone International Music and Culture Week is now in its 4th year running. It is a multi-discipline event that celebrates Gaborone Cityand its residents.
GIMC is held every end of August and ends on the first week of September. It showcases cultural celebrations, comedy, poetry, music festival, fashion, Jazz and a golf day to name a few. Performers are selected from across the region, internationally as well as top local artists. Some of the proceeds from the event are donated to deserving NGOs, especially those that seek to uplift the less fortunate members of the community.
