‘BIG FISH’ NETS ‘SMALL FISH’

MBABANE – You may never know where your luck will come from, instantly making your future that much brighter.


This is the case for little known Promise Mlangeni who made headlines during the MTN Joyous Celebration Show as she might find herself sharing the stage with big giants in the gospel music industry.
Mlangeni who turned the MTN Joyous Celebration show into her own mini show after being given the microphone while she was seated within the audience is expected to be part of Mpumalanga Praise.


Leadership


Mpumalanga Praise, under the leadership of Sipho ‘Big Fish’ Makhabane recently launched its album during a fully packed show at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre.
Makhabane has already indicated that Mlangeni will be one of the artists who will be featured in the choir’s second album to be recorded in September.
Makhabane, who was present during the show, said he was taken by Mlangeni and saw potential in her.


“She is talented and I must say I was impressed with her. She can become one of the country’s best artists, and  I am ready to record her,” he said.
Makhabane said he is currently conducting the Mpumalanga Praise auditions adding that Mlangeni no longer needs to be auditioned.


Exceptional


“What she did was just exceptional and I must say she is already in my plans for the next recording. I must say this is how I normally discover talent. That woman is talented,” he said.
He said he would be engaging Mlangeni formally as she would soon be expected to start rehearsals.


Mlangeni stunned the over 5 000 music lovers who had come to withness Joyous Celebration perform and had them all backing her in chorus.
She shocked everyone who attended the show as she sang until she cried, winning the hearts of  fans and big shot producers like ‘Big Fish’.
