MBABANE – Clad in an Avant Garde design of the Swazi lihiya, Symphony turned heads during the Durban July that was held this past weekend.

The elaborate design of her patriotic fashion number included a sheer detail, feather detail that was attached to her shoulders and a regal cape that gave the stunning outfit that extra touch of over the top style that the Durban July is associated with.
Her outfit was designed by Lee Creations, directed by a local designer Lindelwa Ngubane.

The local artists who is currently leading in the Best R&B MTN SWAMA Awards category votes represented Swaziland well, not only through her flamboyant dress style of our tradition attire but also with an electric performance.
The artists when interviewed by the Entertainment Desk said that she was meant to perform at the Durban July Kickoff Party but due to the fact that she was still in Swaziland when it took place she didn’t get to perform at the kick-off show but nothing was lost as the neo soul singer went on to perform at Hemmersdale at the Magaba Lounge for a show that was dubbed ‘The Durban July Aftermath.’

Symphony also got to rub shoulders with the who’s who of the South African industry including AB Crazy of Rands and Naira’s fame, DJ Sox, DJ Vinni Da Vinci, DJ Christos  as well as Oskido. “It was a great experience and most of all an eye opening one for me.
I learnt a lot, especially on the business side of the music industry,’ she said.
She added that it was a humbling experience to share the stage with these seasoned artists at a platform that is rarely availed to newcomers let alone foreign newcomers, yet she was able to achieve this feat at an infancy stage in her music career.
