MANZINI  – They have been preaching for the past month, saying it would be a ‘great revival’ and indeed it was.

Over 5 000 music lovers filled the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre and danced throughout the night during the Mpumalanga Praise launch.
The show, held on Saturday night, saw people coming from South Africa to witness what most people coined as the ‘Great Revival’, hosted by Sipho ‘Big Fish’ Makhabane.
The show started at exactly 7pm  and by then music lovers were ready to dance, as the queue had already started forming as early as 5pm.

As soon as entry was allowed, the flow of people was easy-going as everyone  was ushered into the main hall. There they sat patiently waiting for the first set to take to the stage.
First to warm up the cold chill of the night was Redemption Mass Choir, which set the tone of the show. They gave a 45-minute performance and this made everyone keen on seeing the next set.
Following was Phetsile Masilela and Mduduzi Nezinceku Zamagawugawu, who  both managed to keep music lovers on their toes before the main act, Mpumalanga Praise took to  the stage.
Mpumalanga Praise, who had two sets, first went on stage at exactly 9pm.

They performed for two hours. Their performance was loved by all those who attended the show.
The choir, formed by Makhabane, made sure that it pleased all its fans, as they were on their feet singing along.

Even those who had not had the opportunity of listening to the choir’ s CD, said they were impressed with the choir’s performance.
The choir took an hour long  break, which gave artists like Hlengiwe Mhlaba, Thinah Zungu and Sipho Ngwenya a chance to amaze the crowd. Mpumalanga Praise then  returned for their second set just after midnight.
Music lovers were entertained as the choir sang most of its songs that kept the audience dancing. One of the songs that won the hearts of most of those who attended was the one titled ‘Andzindzandzindze’.
The song was just a hit as it got everyone dancing.
