COURAGEOUS GROUP RECORDING CANCELLED AT LAST MINUTE

MBABANE – They were keen to be part of the recording.

They spent time in front of mirrors preparing themselves for the big night, little did they know that they would find the gates closed at the venue.
This was at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre where Courageous Singers was supposed to record the live DVD and CD.
Also expected to feature on the night was South African MTN Joyous Celebration stars Nhlengiwe Ntombela and Zodwa Mahlangu.

The gospel music lovers were not informed that the show had been cancelled until the last minute. Most of them were turned away at the entrance where they had hoped to pay and thereafter be part of what was meant to be Courageous Group’s recording.
Security officers at the venue had an extra duty on Friday evening and that was of turning away the music lovers who had come in numbers.

When this reporter arrived just after 6:30pm, one of the security officers said they had been asked to tell all music lovers that the show had been cancelled.
The officer said he had not been told the reasons but he was told to inform the fans that those who had already bought tickets would be refunded.

Thulani Ntshangase, the choir’s founder and director said one of the reasons that led to the show to be cancelled was the fact that the company that was supposed to provide asound system on the night was not paid on time.
“The show was called off at the eleventh hour due to technical glitches that occurred,” he said.
He added, “We confirmed payment late with Blue Audio.
At the time we were ready to pay yesterday (Thursday) at around 2pm, when we were told that it was late since most of the equipment had been rented out.”
Ntshangase said they were shouldering the blame adding that they sincerely  apologise to everyone especially those who went to the venue only to find that the show had been cancelled.
