MBABANE- Lucky pupils got a chance to feel the fire when the MTN bushfire Schools festival finally took off.

In support of this year’s ‘Bring Your Fire theme’, environmental and sustainability, MTN Bushfire Schools Festival engaged local schools during their ‘Go Show’ promotion tour on Tuesday.

The Go Show is a component of the MTN Bushfire Schools Festival that aims to give more information about the festival and the application process.

It is also to encourage students as well as teachers to attend the Schools Festival and bring their fire!
The MTN Bushfire Schools Festival team paid visits to St Marks High School, Ekwetsembeni Primary School and Swazi National High School.
Each visit included a screening of the official MTN Bushfire 2016 Schools Festival videos, a detailed PowerPoint presentation and a brief Q&A session.

Speeches were made by representatives from MTN and the Ministry of Education who shared a few words regarding the festival and the theme which will live at the festivals’ core and reflect in all scheduled activities.
Ministry of Education’s Gcinile Mkhombe, thoroughly shared support of the program for this year’s festival and students displayed eagerness to learn more about the festival by firing questions at the Bushfire troop.

Hip Hop artist and MC of the day, KrTC, had a massive fan base in all three schools and appeared to roaring screams every time he took the podium, especially at his former school St Mark’s High.
