MBABANE – Swaziland’s golden boy Sands  whose real name is Sandziso Matsebula is claiming his place at the top, having achieved a feat most artists even in South Africa have not yet been able to.
The local budding star has claimed the  number one spot  in South Africa’s leading radio station, Metro FM.

This is not just on any ordinary chart but on the Top 40 chart, beating seasoned and more popular artists in the neighbouring country as well as other African artists featured on the Top 40 chart.
Sands was overwhelmed as fans congratulated him.

He responded to this by expressing how it felt like he had won a coveted award.
Fellow artists also shared this good news with their own fans, urging them to congratulate the local artist.  Local songbird  Nomalungelo Dladla’s comment was that people could not ignore just how big an achievement this had been for the musician.

Fans concurred with this, saying Africa should brace itself for Swazi music to keep shining and dominating charts in the near future.
The excitement among Sands’ friends was evident as the news of his number one spot on the charts became viral.

Sands has been getting invites to top SA programmes that are across all genres.
He has appeared on SABC 1 Live show  and just last week Thursday he was featured on Thursday Night Live with Robert  Marawa, where he performed so brilliantly all those in attendance were impressed, including Marawa himself.
